Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Environmental Services (EVS) Manager to lead operations at a 200-bed healthcare facility with a team of approximately 30 staff members. We require a strong leader who can operate effectively in a facility that is fully integrated but continues to experience infrastructure challenges. The ideal candidate will bring deep EVS expertise and the ability to work at an executive level across departments.

This is a less hands-on, more strategic leadership role, focused on operational excellence, staff leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Leadership & Operations

- Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of EVS operations for a 200-bed facility
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of approximately 30 EVS employees
- Serve as a key cross-department leader, collaborating closely with the executive team and clinical leadership, including OR and ER Directors
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance across all areas of the facility

Staff Management

- Conduct interviews, hiring, onboarding, and performance management
- Build and maintain staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage
- Promote accountability, engagement, and professional development within the EVS team

Quality & Compliance

- Oversee room inspections and quality audits, utilizing iPad-based inspection tools
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective action plans as needed
- Ensure EVS services align with hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient satisfaction goals

Administrative & Logistics

- Manage supply ordering and inventory control
- Utilize Google Suite for documentation, reporting, scheduling, and communication
- Support operational improvements in a facility with evolving infrastructure needs

Pay rate: ~40/hr

Required Skills & Experience

- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Environmental Services (EVS)
- 3–5 years of leadership experience, preferably within healthcare or a similar environment
- Prior experience overseeing teams and operations in a facility of similar size or complexity
- Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.)
- Comfortable using iPads or similar technology for inspections and reporting

- Previous experience working with or for Commonspirit
