Insurance Denials Specialist

- Ideally looking for candidates with Medicare or Medicade denials experience or government experience.

Insight Global is seeking a Denials Insurance Specialist to join their Revenue Cycle team. This person will provide a liaison between the providers of health care services, the patient, or other responsible persons, and revenue sources, to ensure the correctness of charges, a current record of all transactions, and account resolution
They will maintain active communications with insurance carriers and third-party carriers until account is paid, negotiate payment of current and past due accounts by direct telephone and written correspondence and update patient account information. Additionally, they will monitor and identifies payer denial trends and problem accounts; communicates patterns to supervisor, run a monthly aging report based on DOS and current A/R to identify accounts that require follow up and manage all assigned worklist daily for assigned insurances.

This is a 100% remote role, that needs proven work from home experience. Additionally the working hours are 8-5 EST, but can have a 7-4 or 9-6 schedule if requested.

- Government, Medicade, or Medicare experience
- High School or GED
- Minimum 2+ years of medical insurance collections experience - Denials
o Etna, cigna, united healthcare
- Knowledge of medical terminology utilized in medical collections and billing (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
- Experience with insurance claims and insurance denials
Experience in payor portals and EHR systems
