Job Description

Job Summary:
The Construction Site Flagger must ensure the safe movement of Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMTs) transporting heavy loads within the construction site. This role includes escorting transported loads using a lead buggy (ATV) vehicle and directing traffic to maintain safety for workers, the public, and equipment during transport operations.

D2D:
-Direct and control vehicular and pedestrian traffic before and during SPMT movements.
-Establish and maintain safe traffic control zones in accordance with site plans.
-Communicate continuously with SPMT operators, supervisors, and other crew members via radio or other communication devices.
-Ensure travel paths are clear of obstacles, hazards, or unauthorized personnel before movement begins.
-Stop, slow, traffic as required to allow safe passage of oversized or heavy loads.
-Monitor road conditions, overhead obstructions, and site constraints during convoy movement.
-Position traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, and signage if required.
-Follow all company and Project’s safety policies.
-Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or near-misses immediately to supervision.

Required Skills & Experience

-Previous experience working on a construction or labor site.
-Valid Driver's License and clean MVR.
-Ability to lift and place equipment (up to 20 lbs.).
-Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
-Good communication skills - will need to communicate clearly via radio and in person.
-Ability to understand follow traffic control plans and safety procedures.
-Reliability.
-Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, weekends.
