Metrology Technician

Insight Global is hiring a Metrology Technician for a Medical Device manufacturer in Sarasota, FL. This position will specifically support the Research & Development (R&D) team, with the goal to accelerate the product approval process by conducting thorough testing for these experimental contact lenses. This Technician is to support high‑accuracy measurement activities in a quality‑driven, regulated Medical Device manufacturing environment.

While direct metrology experience is preferred, we are open to candidates from adjacent backgrounds—such as CMM Operators, Dimensional Inspectors, or Quality Technicians—who bring strong hands‑on experience working to tight tolerances and following controlled documentation practices.

Success in this position requires a high level of attention to detail, a disciplined approach to measurement accuracy and repeatability, and the ability to work within established quality systems.

1+ years Metrology Technician (preferred) OR adjacent backgrounds-- such as CMM Operators, Dimensional Inspectors or Quality Technician experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
Hands on experience working to tight tolerances and following controlled documentation practices
High attention to detail
Ability to work within controlled / regulated quality systems
Disciplined approach to measurement accuracy & repeatability
