Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Wireless Network Engineer to join our team, with a strong focus on wireless operations, break/fix support, and user connectivity in a complex enterprise environment. This role requires deep hands-on experience supporting Cisco-based wireless infrastructures, troubleshooting access point and client connectivity issues, and maintaining secure, high-performing networks across multiple platforms.
The ideal candidate is an expert problem-solver who thrives in operational environments, excels at rapid issue resolution, and is comfortable working onsite in Manhattan multiple days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a senior escalation point for wireless network break/fix and operational issues, ensuring rapid restoration of service
Troubleshoot and resolve user connectivity issues, including authentication, roaming, performance, and device compatibility problems
Support, configure, and maintain Cisco wireless infrastructure, including access points and controllers
Manage and operate Cisco 9800 Series Wireless LAN Controllers
Administer and troubleshoot Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) for authentication, authorization, and policy enforcement
Work with Forescout for network access control and device visibility
Perform hands-on troubleshooting of access points, wireless clients, and network hardware
Use Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center) for monitoring, assurance, and operational workflows
Support wireless environments across multiple platforms and device types
Partner with network, security, and desktop teams to resolve cross-functional issues
Participate in onsite support and operational coverage three days per week in Manhattan
Document incidents, root cause analysis, and operational procedures as needed

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience as a Wireless or Network Engineer in an enterprise environment
CCNP certification
Strong, hands-on expertise in wireless break/fix and operational support
Extensive experience with Cisco wireless products, including:
Cisco 9800 Series Controllers
Cisco Access Points
Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center)
Cisco ISE (ICE)
Experience supporting Forescout in production environments
Proven ability to troubleshoot authentication, connectivity, and performance issues
Strong understanding of wireless protocols, RF fundamentals, and enterprise WLAN design
Comfortable working in fast-paced, operationally focused environments
Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with end users and technical teams
