Job Description

THINGS YOU WILL DO…
• Troubleshoot and solve product quality related issues
• Ensure HACCP and Food Safety systems are updated and current with changes in the plant, ingredients, and
suppliers
• Maintain focus and alignment of QA team with company priorities and strategic targets
• Support the management team by providing timely KPI's that reflect the health of its' quality and food safety
system


DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
• Monitor and ensure quality of all inbound raw materials and ingredients.
• Monitor and ensure quality of all finished goods.
• Maintain and organize retention samples of all inbound raw materials and of all finished goods.
• Maintain the facility document file
• Monitor overall QA schedule
• Support senior management through provision of timely reports, analysis of trends and recommendations
• Oversee internal audits, inspection processes, and reporting
• Assist in Troubleshooting and solving product quality related issues
• Assist in resolving product quality related issues and responding in a timely manner to customer complaints
• Ensure HACCP and Food Safety systems are updated and current with changes in the plant, ingredients, and
suppliers
• Maintain focus and alignment of QA team with company priorities and strategic targets
• Assist the company through various initiatives to meet cost targets and monitor quality standards
• Review performance of QA Technicians and provide training/coaching
• Coordinate the generation and delivery of certificates of analysis for shipments to co-packers
• Ensure database of relevant tests is maintained
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Experience

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• You have strong knowledge and/or certification in HACCP, quality assurance and control
• You have expert Microsoft Office and other computer application skills
• You have excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis methods

EXPERIENCE
• You have proven experience leading a quality assurance team in a food production facility
• You have a Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry or other relevant education

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

NICE-TO-HAVE
• You have experience solving complex QA/QC technical issues
