Job Description

Datacenter Power Infrastructure Project Manager will manage the engineering scope, schedule, and budget for greenfield, brownfield and retrofit engineering / design projects. This position will manage internal and external resources for the delivery of the Datacenter power infrastructure to align with Microsoft Corporation datacenter capacity roadmap.

Roles and Responsibilities - The Datacenter Utility Power Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for the facilitation and delivery of Microsoft’s industry-leading datacenter power infrastructure including the development of new technology and advanced concepts from pre-programming through design development, construction, and the turnover to Operations. This role will provide infrastructure coordination, management, and overall leadership for our datacenter power infrastructure. To be successful in this role the candidate will oversee the delivery of multiple, concurrent, complete distribution, substation, and transmission projects supporting datacenter solutions aligned with the scopes, schedules, and budgets of the projects. The Design Manager will engage with key MS stakeholder groups within Microsoft as well as outside vendors who specialize in datacenter architecture and engineering.

Skills and Qualifications - Successful candidates will manage multiple utility provider teams of engineers and designers to deliver multiple projects aligned with the defined scope, schedule, and budget. The candidate must have excellent project management, communication, organization, and leadership skills. Candidates must possess a high level of proficiency in transmission and substation design and construction. The candidates must also be able to work with other technical and non-technical groups in a fast- paced environment and do so with an even temperament. The candidate must be a person of integrity, be methodical, detailed-oriented with a strong work ethic.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years’ experience in substation design and/or delivery
- • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in consulting engineering or construction of substations
- Fluent in French; Experience in consulting engineering or construction of substations
- Data Center Utility Experience
• Ability to lead teams of engineers in advanced engineering and operational processes and procedures as they relate to large datacenter environments.
- 5 years’ experience as lead engineer, design manager or project manager of transmission or substation projects

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Electrical Engineer / Professional Engineer is a plus
