Core Symitar Specialist

A client of Insight Global is looking to hire a hands-on Core Symitar Specialist to support and own daily Symitar Episys core system operations. This individual will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the core banking environment, including batch job creation and scheduling, system availability, and performance across IBM Power and AIX platforms. The role will support system upgrades, patching, testing, and implementation of core changes, as well as participate in disaster recovery and failover processes to ensure business continuity. This person will work closely with internal IT teams, vendors, and business users to troubleshoot issues, resolve incidents, manage access, document processes, and support ongoing core system enhancements while participating in an on-call rotation. On- call rotation will last for an entire week of a month and you will be rotating out with other team members.

This role is a 6 month contract to hire based on performance throughout the contract. The expected conversion salary range is around $80,000-$102,000 annually. Please note that pay is based upon a variety of factors such as experience and certifications.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting a core banking system
• Direct experience with Symitar Episys in a production environment
• Experience with daily core processing and batch job creation/scheduling
• Understanding of credit union core operations
• Experience supporting system availability, incidents, and operational changes

• 3+ years of direct Symitar Episys experience
• Experience performing Symitar upgrades and patching
• Exposure to disaster recovery and failover processes
• Experience with IBM Power (P Series)
• Unix/AIX experience
• Experience supporting or leading core system enhancement projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field
