Job Description

We’re hiring a VP of Technology for our fast‑scaling, multi‑site home care organization, based in Brooklyn, NY. This is a hybrid position, in-office 2-3 days per week. This VP of Technology will serve as the primary bridge between executive leadership, internal teams, and an external IT provider. This individual ensures that all technical issues, requests, and projects are clearly documented, properly prioritized, and driven through resolution without delay. We value leaders who simplify, set a high bar, and get things done without overcomplicating. This person will oversee 4 direct reports (IT Ops/Admin, Data &BI, Software Eng, Data Digitization/Automation) and oversee the helpdesk Managed Service Provider. Responsibilities include:
- Translate executive asks into actionable plans for tech teams.
- Own technology intake, prioritization, and sequencing; decide what’s more important and communicate tradeoffs.
- Oversee 4 functional leads plus helpdesk MSP.
- Ensure uptime, incident prevention/response, change control, backup/DR, and endpoint/network hygiene across ~25 locations
- Prepare for integration work related to small acquisitions; design integration checklists and playbooks.
- Mature use of the Postgres data warehouse and Power BI; build role‑appropriate dashboards for business leaders.
- Guide appropriate use of AI agents to automate, summarize, and accelerate workflows where sensible.
