Job Description
The SAP SQL Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions that support business processes within SAP environments. This role bridges SAP functional modules with backend data operations, ensuring accurate reporting, optimized queries, and reliable data integration across systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support SAP reporting and analytics.
Work with SAP modules (such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HCM) to understand data structures and business requirements.
Build and maintain ETL processes for data extraction from SAP tables and external systems.
Support SAP BW, SAP HANA, or other SAP database platforms by creating efficient data models.
Troubleshoot data issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, business analysts, and developers to deliver end‑to‑end data solutions.
Create documentation for data flows, technical specifications, and system configurations.
Assist in system upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning activities.
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and audit requirements

Required Skills & Experience
Strong proficiency in SQL (e.g., T‑SQL, PL/SQL, SQLScript).
Hands-on experience with SAP databases such as SAP HANA, SAP ECC, or SAP S/4HANA.
Understanding of SAP table structures and data models.
Experience with ETL tools (SAP Data Services, Informatica, SSIS, etc.).
Ability to analyze complex datasets and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Familiarity with SAP reporting tools (SAP BW, SAP Analytics Cloud, Crystal Reports, etc.).
