Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mortgage Servicing Transfer Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the transfer of mortgage loans between servicers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a seamless experience for borrowers. The ideal candidate will have experience in mortgage servicing, post-closing operations, or loan administration, with a strong ability to manage timelines, documentation, and communication across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate the transfer of mortgage loans to new servicers or subservicers, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and investor requirements.
Review and reconcile loan files, including payment histories, escrow balances, insurance information, and principal reductions, prior to transfer.
Prepare and distribute servicing transfer notifications to borrowers and internal teams.
Maintain communication with borrowers, internal teams, investors, and new servicers to ensure accurate and timely transfers.
Escalate and resolve discrepancies or errors in loan files, payments, or account information prior to and during transfer.
Track and manage servicing transfer timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
Document all transfer activity, communication, and borrower interactions for compliance and reporting purposes.
Provide training and guidance to internal teams on servicing transfer processes and best practices.
Collaborate with accounting, post-closing, and servicing teams to facilitate accurate and timely transfer of funds, including escrow balances and principal payments.

This is a fully onsite role.

Required Skills & Experience

1+ year of experience in the mortgage industry; preferably in servicing
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with borrowers and internal/external stakeholders

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Encompass experience
Previous experience in mortgage servicing, post-closing, loan administration, or related financial services.
