Job Description

A leading manufacturer in the automotive connector sector, specializing in high-mix, high-volume production environments. The company is focused on operational excellence, adherence to industry standards (IATF), and driving transformation within its production culture.

The Junior Production Manager will support the Superintendent in overseeing daily production operations, leading personnel, and implementing cultural and procedural improvements across the department. The role involves hands-on assessments, identifying operational inefficiencies, and executing structured plans to elevate production performance, employee engagement, and process discipline.
This position is ideal for a resource-oriented leader who thrives in structured, fast-paced environments and is motivated by organizational transformation.

Support the Superintendent in managing day-to-day production operations across 4 shifts (Monday–Thursday).
Lead and coach 6 Line Leads (Group Leads) and oversight of 80–100 direct labor employees.
Conduct on-site assessments of people, processes, workflows, and cultural norms.
Develop and implement improvement plans addressing workforce behavior, operational discipline, and production standards.
Strengthen production procedures, documentation, and compliance to IATF and relevant industry standards.
Drive accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
Partner with leadership to introduce new operating patterns and transition the organization toward a more structured, disciplined culture.
Support high-mix, high-volume manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency and consistency.
Collaborate cross-functionally with quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve operational issues.
Provide leadership presence on the floor to reinforce standards and support line leads.

Required Skills & Experience

6–8 years of experience in production, operations, or manufacturing leadership.
Automotive or Medical industry experience required (IATF knowledge specifically beneficial).
Experience in metal stamping is highly desirable.
Proven success in high-mix, high-volume environments.
Strong leadership with the ability to influence culture, behavior, and operational discipline.
Hands-on, floor-focused management style with the ability to assess people, processes, and systems effectively.
Experience developing and executing action plans for production improvement.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
