What To Expect
As an Electrical Construction Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the execution of various self-perform construction projects. You will lead our internal Tesla Construction team and collaborate cross-functionally with base build, construction engineering, tool install, and manufacturing engineering departments to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
What You'll Do
Work alongside craft project managers and lead a team of project coordinators, superintendents, and electricians.
Conduct constructability reviews of design packages.
Coordinate manufacturing tool startup and shutdowns with Tool Install teams.
Maintain a proactive, can-do attitude to align stakeholders with project goals.
Identify project risks and opportunities, actively managing them throughout the project lifecycle.
Track project financials, rentals, and labor allocations.
Update project schedules.
Estimate electrical project scopes under $100,000.00.
Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements.
Interface with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and commissioning teams.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Background in Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, or Data Center Construction.
Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Construction Project Manager.
Previous experience managing projects valued at $10M or more.
Proficiency in material take offs and estimating from construction drawings.
Strong Skills in Bluebeam, VDC/BIM platforms including Bluebeam and Revit, and Microsoft Projects.
Ability to read, interpret, and manage changes to construction drawings.
Strong skills in Construction baseline development, change control, cost/schedule performance, and variance analysis.
