Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Functional Architect with strong business analytics expertise and proven experience in client‑facing roles. This individual will serve as a key liaison between the client and the technical delivery team, ensuring business needs are clearly understood, documented, and translated into scalable system solutions.
In this role, you will lead requirement‑gathering sessions, manage project updates, guide testing efforts, and collaborate closely with development teams to support the successful delivery of a new enterprise solution for a State‑level customer.
Phase 1: Build a New Data‑Driven Decision System
- Partner directly with State‑level client stakeholders to understand strategic goals.
- Define, gather, and manage business and functional requirements.
- Lead documentation efforts across processes, workflows, and system behaviors.
- Support the creation of a brand-new system designed to clean, process, and analyze data, enabling executive‑level decision‑making.
- Coordinate with development teams to ensure requirements are clearly communicated and accurately implemented.
- Participate in testing and validation to confirm system functionality aligns with business needs.
Phase 2: Design & Deliver an Enhanced Reporting Experience
- Architect and support the development of an intuitive dashboard and reporting suite.
- Improve the end‑user experience by transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Ensure reporting capabilities meet operational, analytical, and compliance needs.
Pay rate: $70/hr
Position is fully remote but must work PST working hours

Required Skills & Experience
- Serve as a client-facing Functional Architect/Business Analyst with strong requirements-gathering, documentation, and communication skills, supported by a solid technical background.
- Leverage hands-on expertise in Dynamics 365, Power Automate, and SharePoint to support solution design, workflow optimization, and integration initiatives.
- Apply security knowledge across governance, compliance, and identity & access management (IAM) to ensure solutions meet organizational and regulatory standards.
- Execute comprehensive functional, UAT, integration, and security testing—including MFA, RBAC, and privacy controls—to validate solution readiness and risk mitigation.
- Develop complete test plans, test scripts, defect tracking, and final UAT results, while driving stakeholder sign-off and facilitating compliance reviews.
- Produce high-quality documentation, support governance frameworks, and provide operational guidance to ensure long-term solution stability and adoption.
- Work effectively in a fully remote capacity while supporting Pacific Standard Time (PST) business hours.
