Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Content APIs team, building the core services that power digital products and content experiences. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs at scale, contributing to high-traffic, high-availability platforms. You will work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, owning projects end-to-end—from API schema design and
data modeling to deployment, observability, and optimization.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience as a backend, API or platform engineer.
• Prior experience in the media, streaming, or content-heavy domain.
• Strong proficiency in Golang and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience building or consuming GraphQL services.
• Solid understanding of AWS serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway,
DynamoDB, etc.).
• Deep knowledge of microservice architecture patterns (service discovery, circuit
breakers, distributed tracing, event-driven systems).
• Experience working in agile, collaborative, cross-functional teams.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance-optimization skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).
• Deep experience with MongoDB and Elasticsearch including indexing strategies,
data modeling, and query optimization.
