Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in Kansas City, Kansas. This role is ideal for early-mid career professionals looking to build a strong foundation in geotechnical engineering. You’ll receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced engineers while contributing to a variety of projects. Responsibilities include:
• Conduct site investigations, field testing, and laboratory analysis of soil, rock, and groundwater conditions.
• Perform geotechnical analysis and design for foundations, earthworks, slope stability, and retaining structures.
• Prepare technical reports, geotechnical recommendations, and design calculations.
• Interpret geotechnical data to support infrastructure design and construction.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, and environmental engineers on multidisciplinary projects.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor construction sites to ensure geotechnical designs are being implemented correctly.
Assist in preparing project proposals, cost estimates, and timelines.

Required Skills & Experience
BS in Engineering (Civil or Geotechnical preferred)
2+ years in field work (testing, inspection, geotechnical, etc.)
Desire to learn and grow into a geotechnical engineering role long term
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
EIT
ACI, ICC, or any other related certifications
