Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a hybrid Tax Accountant based in Chattanooga for one of their clients. The Tax Accountant supports the coordination and compliance of various tax filings across the organization. It involves managing tax credit and incentive programs, including identifying opportunities and preparing related documentation. The position assists with income, sales, fuel, franchise, excise, and property tax return processes. It helps ensure timely filing of all tax returns and supports monthly and year-end tax provision activities. The role includes conducting tax research, planning, and responding to audits or tax notices. It maintains the tax calendar and ensures deadlines are met. The position also monitors tax law changes and recommends strategies based on new legislation. Collaboration with finance teams and participation in ad-hoc projects are key aspects of this role.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
1+ Year of experience in corporate accounting or finance
Knowledge of GAAP and state/federal income tax concepts

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

CPA or MBA
Experience with ASC 740
