Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Telecom Analyst to support a federal client in Hampton, VA. The Sr. Telecom Analyst responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performs a variety of technical tasks including remote and onsite support of the following equipment: Routers and switches (Cisco), radios (PRC117, URC 200/300, CM 300/350 V2) and serial to IP converting devices (Sunhillo).
- Modifies, moves, and installs a range of new equipment.
- Troubleshoots a variety of hardware and software problems and interconnectivity issues.
- Performs a variety of integrity testing and interviews customers to gather information about problems.
- Prepares and presents a variety of incident/performance reports to the customer and to the service delivery manager.
- Provides advice and a variety of onsite training for customer support personnel.
- May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.
- May serve as a team or task leader. (Not a people manager)
- Analyzes, maintains, and modifies telecommunications systems to meet operational standards.
- Monitors the operations of telecommunications systems and services of vendors.
- Conducts studies regarding telecommunication systems usage and recommends changes as appropriate.
- Plans and coordinates all moves and installation of telecommunications equipment.
- Tests, adjusts, and troubleshoots complex hardware equipment as necessary.
- Maintains records and prepares complex reports relevant to the operation of the telecommunications systems.

Compensation:

$35/hr to $40hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

- CompTIA Security Plus required.
- BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience with telecommunications
