Job Overview:

A quick service restaurant is looking for 1 Lead Kubernetes Platform Engineer and 4 Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineers that are highly skilled and can work independently to join their Kube team. This client leverages a modern, container orchestration platform to deliver cutting edge services to our 2500+ North American restaurants and customers. We need an experienced, passionate distributed systems lead engineer to build and operate a shared application platform and create core capabilities for our engineering teams to leverage. The Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineers will be responsible for implementing design patterns for our application platform, creating and managing CI/CD workflows, creating and managing Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) to increase developer productivity, and working with are customers and partners to ensure our platform is healthy and secure. You will serve as a problem solver and expert software engineer. We need you to apply your technical experience to the design, development, and delivery of complex technical products. You will oversee the work on your team and contribute hands-on as a team member.

Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field

* 5 years' experience

* Experience building and supporting systems deployed to cloud provider (preferably AWS)

* Experience with container orchestration platforms (preferably Kubernetes)

* Experience with Docker and/or other container runtimes

* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and testing automation (preferably GitHub Actions)

* Experienced in software engineering (preferably Golang, Python, Java, and/or similar languages)

* Passion for fast-paced, high-quality, agile delivery

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* 6-8 years of experience

* Experience operating Amazon's Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)

* Experience creating and maintaining Kubernetes network policies

* Experience creating and maintaining Kubernetes CRDs

* Experience creating and maintaining helm charts and/or kustomize templates

* Experience creating and maintaining Kyverno policies

* Experience operating ArgoCD
