Job Description
The Procurement Specialist leads the development and execution of sourcing strategies for assigned areas of spend with the manufacturing site and across a large chemical manufacturer. Supports the site procurement and materials control organization through procurement activities that enable the strategic direction of the company-wide function and all appropriately integrated relevant business functions. The incumbent provides leadership in identifying and implementing procurement best practices, builds supportive internal/external relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and plant leadership.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s in business, supply chain, engineering or other related fields.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in procurement including supplier management, contract management, risk management, and procure to pay processes.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement, Coupa/Ariba, SAP S4.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 360 and Tableau desired.
• Excellent technical knowledge of good procurement practices including: sourcing, bid development, contract development, negotiation, contract execution and supplier management.
Experience with material control
