Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Construction Inspector to support commercial construction projects. This role requires performing construction-related inspections that demand specific certifications and/or relevant field experience. Inspectors will be responsible for monitoring quality, ensuring compliance with building codes, construction drawings, and project specifications, and delivering clear, actionable reporting to project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review daily lab dispatches and plan inspection schedules for the following day
- Travel to 2–3 project sites per day to perform field inspections
- Conduct daily inspections of commercial construction projects, ensuring adherence to:
- Building code requirements
- Construction drawings
- Project specifications
- Perform inspections across multiple disciplines or within areas of expertise, including:
- Structural steel, Concrete, Masonry, Fireproofing and firestopping
- Complete visual and physical inspections as well as field testing to verify conformance with plans
- Inspect structural steel components including fillet welds (e.g., 5/16 welds) and bolting systems
- Support and/or perform non-destructive testing (NDT) such as magnetic particle testing
- Prepare and submit detailed daily electronic inspection reports documenting observations and material testing results
- Communicate findings to engineers, project managers, and contractors, and collaborate on solutions when needed
Range for Construction Inspector I: $25.25 - $35.25
Range for Construction Inspector II: $30.00 - $42.00

Required Skills & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience as an Engineering Technician or other applicable experience.
- Active CWI
- A valid driver’s license with drug screening
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Associate's degree in civil engineering or construction engineering
- Background in Industrial/Commercial Construction
- Additional active ICC Certifications
