Job Description

This role is responsible for reviewing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC safety logic to ensure new manufacturing equipment is safe, compliant, and ready for operation. The individual will verify equipment meets OSHA and internal safety standards and confirm that safety PLC programming aligns with hardwired safety devices. The role includes performing on‑floor inspections to ensure physical wiring matches documentation and identifying safety or controls gaps that require recommended modifications. This position supports equipment buy‑off activities with vendors and cross functional engineers and serves as an in‑house subject matter expert for controls, safety, and machine integration.

Required Skills & Experience

• An electrical engineer background with controls experience
○ Degree in engineering or years of experience comparable
• Strong background in PLC programming and modification
○ Verifying programming is correct and hands-on wiring experience
○ Fluent in writing diagrams: pneumatics, schematics
A background dealing with safety requirements and machine integration
