Job Description

This role is responsible for designing and implementing hardwired control systems and PLC software, following established OTI software standards, with minimal management assistance. The engineer works closely with Project Managers through weekly reviews to manage scope, budget, schedules, design milestones, and required documentation. The position requires frequent and effective communication with customers, proactive identification and reporting of scope or budget changes, and the creation of engineering change requests and purchase requisitions as needed. The role also ensures strict adherence to engineering methods, safety standards, documentation practices, and timely submission of all project records and timesheets.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 3 - 7 years of experience working as an electrical design engineer.
• Experience troubleshooting existing control systems and equipment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to Project Management and customers are required.
• PLC and HMI Programing experience (primarily Rockwell and Allen Bradley)
o They will do custom PLC and HMI programming/automation for their client’s needs

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Other PLC knowledge & experience ex: Siemens
- Experience working with Ignition
