Insight Global is seeking an Associate Motor Repair Technician for a top industrial automation and manufacturing technology client. This candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, testing, repairing, and remanufacturing electric motors to original operating specifications. The ideal individual will have a strong mechanical and electrical foundation, enjoy hands-on technical work, and be eager to learn advanced motor repair techniques through mentorship and on-the-job training. This role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and industry-leading automation products while developing a long-term career in motor repair and industrial technology.
Day-to-Day:
• Test and analyze AC Servo motors to diagnose failures and issues
• Remanufacture motors to original operating specifications
• Learn FANUC products and repair processes through hands-on training
• Work closely with supervisors and senior technicians during on-the-job training
• Maintain and service testing equipment
• Complete estimates, repair documentation, and associated paperwork accurately and on time - using Oracle
• Record and report data using Oracle
• Participate in annual physical inventory activities
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Compensation:
$22/hr to $27/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6 months–1 year of machine shop experience with hands-on mechanical or electrical equipment repair experience
• Electrical motor repair experience
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for electrical issues
• Experience using hand tools and diagnostic equipment
• Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Willingness to work overtime when required
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Two-year trade school education or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of rotating machinery theory and vibration analysis
• Knowledge of electrical theory, including motors, generators, and semiconductors
• Lathe operation experience
• Experience working with controls, drives, power supplies, oscilloscopes, bearing presses, and overhead cranes
