Job Description
Insight Globals manuacturing client is seeking a highly technical ABAP Developer / Analyst III to support core SAP business functions and upcoming major SAP/S/4 initiatives. This role will focus primarily on production support and enhancement development across critical business portfolios including FI/CO, Supply Chain, Master Data, and Revenue (eCommerce, rebates, distributed products).
The team operates in a global delivery model, with approximately 15 developers in the US and 85+ developers in India. US-based developers provide critical onshore ownership, business interaction, and production support during US business hours, partnering closely with offshore teams.
This role requires a strong, hands-on ABAP developer who is collaborative, technically strong, and comfortable operating in a complex SAP landscape.

Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on ABAP development experience
Proven ability to translate functional designs and requirements into ABAP code
Extensive experience with structured programming, object-oriented ABAP, dialog programming, user exits
Strong experience with classes, methods, BADIs
Ability to work independently on high‑complexity designs and programs
Ability to facilitate design sessions with business users, management, and architects
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Solid debugging skills with focus on performance and functional issues
Experience adhering to source code control, transport management, and development standards
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
SAP functional experience in SD, MM, FI/CO, SCM, Master Data, or Revenue portfolios
Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 and HANA (strongly preferred)
IDOC, ALE, Workflow, BAPI, API, and Web Services experience
Experience with PI or Talend
Exposure to SAP Fiori, CDS Views, AMDP Views
Experience with SAP BTP applications (e.g., SAP Build)
Systems experience beyond SAP with full SDLC exposure
Experience supporting Vistex or rebate-focused SAP solutions a plus
