The BMET II is responsible for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and verifying the performance of complex biomedical equipment with minimal supervision. They must be skilled in using all necessary test equipment and tools.
Responsibilities Breakdown
Technical Service (40%)
o Perform inspections, maintenance, and safety checks on biomedical equipment.
o Update supervisors on repair status and any issues.
Regulatory Compliance (25%)
o Maintain accurate equipment records.
o Follow the Medical Equipment Management Plan and regulatory policies.
o Ensure all service and documentation are complete and accurate.
Inventory Management (10%)
o Inspect and verify inventory status.
o Perform security analysis for new equipment.
o Conduct incoming inspections to maintain accurate inventory records.
o Make inventory recommendations.

2 year degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent experience required.
Minimum 3 years experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment
Technical Certification (CBET) strongly preferred
