Job Description

Overview
CDS, a Dover Operating Company, is seeking an experienced ERP Solutions Architect to lead the evaluation and recommendation of an ERP strategy that increases visibility, alignment, and process consistency across multiple business units.

This role will focus on discovery, validation, and solution design across existing ERP environments, with a heavy emphasis on stakeholder engagement, process documentation, and system integration strategy. This is a consulting-style role with a clearly defined solution phase and potential opportunity to extend into implementation.

Key Responsibilities
Solution & Architecture Leadership
Lead ERP solution assessment and recommendation across NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics environments.
Validate existing systems, integrations, and business process architectures across U.S. and German entities.
Design a future-state ERP and integration strategy that improves cross-entity visibility and operational efficiency.
Develop system and process recommendations that align with corporate IT standards while meeting business needs.
Discovery & Workshops
Plan and facilitate workshops with subject matter experts (SMEs) across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations.
Work closely with individual functional teams to gather, validate, and refine requirements.
“Bubble up” detailed functional requirements into a cohesive, enterprise-level solution design.
Process & Documentation
Analyze current-state processes including Order-to-Cash (O2C), renewals, procurement, inventory planning, and manufacturing workflows.
Create clear, distilled documentation from existing system and process materials.
Translate complex system documentation into concise, actionable architectural guidance.
Integration & Functional Focus
Evaluate and design integrations related to:
O2C and renewal processes
Supply chain and manufacturing workflows
Bill of Materials (BOM)
Inventory planning and visibility
Software revenue and renewal models
Ensure solutions align with the software side of the business, rather than purely industry-driven ERP models.
Stakeholder Management
Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and corporate IT, helping align technical feasibility with business goals.
Clearly communicate solution rationale and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
