Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Occupational Therapist that will partner closely with classroom staff, families, and service providers to develop, implement, and monitor occupational therapy programming for students K-8th grade with autism and related disabilities (~35-40 students). This role plays a key part in IEP development, staff training, and ensuring therapy goals support functional independence and classroom success.

Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with classroom staff, parents, and outside therapists to support student OT goals
• Conduct formal and informal assessments, observations, and skill probes
• Develop and model therapeutic activities aligned to IEP goals
• Support IEP development, goal tracking, and progress reporting
• Participate in IEP, SETT, and interdisciplinary meetings
• Provide training and ongoing support to classroom staff
• Assist with school activities and cover substitute duties when needed

Required Skills & Experience

• Active Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
• Previous school-based OT experience
• Physically, mentally, and emotionally able to support children with disabilities
• Strong communication skills and team collaboration mindset

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience working with students with autism across varying age ranges
• Familiarity with ABA principles (preferred, not required)
