Job Description
This specialty insurance company is looking for a strong Solution Architect to oversee application development in their Property practice. This person will be responsible for the architectural & technical design of inhouse, new & existing applications. Responsibilities will include some aspects of hands on delivery writing code, reviewing code, managing repositories, mentoring junior staff, and working collaboratively with cross-functional IT stakeholders. Key projects include refactoring an existing application from older versions of .Net & Angular to their newest versions, putting newly created AI enabled applications into production, and some legacy application work. A strong candidate will have experience owning architectural strategy, have hands on development experience, have exposure to Azure DevOps, experience with API first architecture experience, & be dynamic to adapt in an ever changing technical environment. An excellent candidate will come from the Insurance industry and have Azure cloud certifications.

Required Skills & Experience
• 7+ Years of Software Engineering Experience primarily with .Net & Angular ideally in on-prem & Azure cloud infrastructure
• Strong architecture design experience implementing best practices, creating standardization, and API first development
• Experience designing and automating deployment pipelines with Azure DevOps
○ Experience doing version control & deployment of multiple features
• Previously have led technical design, code writing, code review, & management of repositories
• Excellent communication to collaborate with cross-functional Business & IT Stakeholders within information security, enterprise architecture, cloud team, PMO, etc.
People management experience leading junior and offshore development teams

Experience with development for Insurance applications
