Job Description
Develop and maintain automated test suites for API-driven integration workflows
Validate end-to-end data flow from ingestion (API entry point) through Kafka/event streams to downstream consumers
Test event ingestion and publication pipelines, ensuring data is properly transformed into standardized formats (e.g., Avro/JSON)
Collaborate with PMS integration team, integration platform team, and downstream data consumers
Ensure data integrity across systems, including warehouse feeds and CRS ingestion pipelines
Identify gaps in test coverage and implement improvements across integration touchpoints
Participate in sprint planning and execution within a Scrum team structure
Support regression testing and continuous validation of integration services
Troubleshoot issues across distributed systems and ensure reliability of inbound/outbound integrations
Work closely with engineers and tech leads to improve system testability and scalability
Contribute to building a fully event-driven testing approach as the organization moves away from request-based integrations

Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with API testing and validation (RESTful services, API gateways)
Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks and building test strategies
Experience testing event-driven architectures (Kafka, pub/sub models, event ingestion)
Proficiency with Java-based services and understanding of microservices in Kubernetes environments
Ability to design and execute end-to-end integration testing across multiple systems
Experience validating data pipelines (JSON, Avro schemas, message deserialization)
Familiarity with CI/CD integration for automated testing
Strong communication skills; ability to articulate gaps, ask questions, and collaborate with tech leads
Self-sufficient worker who can interpret specs and execute without heavy oversight
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with Opera integrations or PMS (Property Management Systems)
Background in CRS (Central Reservation Systems) or data warehousing integrations
Exposure to Hyatt Integration Platform (HIP) or similar enterprise integration ecosystems
Prior experience working with globally distributed teams (China, Panama, etc.)
Experience with schema validation tools and data contract enforcement
Familiarity with legacy integration tools (e.g., Ballerina)
Experience with UI + API combined workflow testing (multi-step integration validation)
Consulting background with exposure to multiple integration environments
