Insight Global is looking for a Python Developer to join one of the largest Financial firms in either Chicago IL, Denver CO or Washington DC. He/she should be familiar with Splunk. This team is in charge of coding on their servers to help litigations and integrations with Python.
Contractor will support front line security teams with building and maintaining python code on existing Linux servers. Projects can include integrations between existing off the shelf products, new web interfaces to provide tools to our team, as well as integrations with cloud and CDN security products. A successful hire will have developed active projects in python, ideally in support of a information security team and controls.
Responsibilities:
- Able to effectively capture and document customer requirements.
- Perform proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
- Code solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement
- Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements.
- Assist team with resolving technical issues
- Design/develop/modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solutions.
- Provide support for existing code as well as develop new integrations.
- Develop documentation on supporting the code as well as for end users.

- Deep knowledge and understanding of Python and Django Framework
- Knowledge of Amazon and Akamai (content delivery network)
- Experience with Splunk and programmatically calling their APIs
- Experience with cyber security related workflows/solutions/implementation
Deep knowledge designing and implementing Event Based integration services using Message Brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle; preferably with Agile, Kanban/Scrum
Experience with .NET Core, Jenkins, MSBuild, Ansible, XLR, or Automated testing
