Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Loan Document Specialist to support insurance documentation and collateral protection activities within a banking environment. This individual will be responsible for reviewing insurance-related loan documentation, conducting high-volume outbound customer and insurance agent outreach, and ensuring required insurance documentation is obtained and accurately recorded. The ideal candidate will have experience in banking, loan operations, insurance servicing, or loan documentation review and possess strong communication and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Review and validate insurance-related loan documentation, including Certificates of Insurance (COI) and insurance policies
• Conduct outbound calls to customers and insurance agents to obtain proof of insurance coverage and premium payment verification
• Handle inbound return calls and follow-up communications related to insurance documentation requests
• Support initiatives focused on reducing past-due insurance documentation and improving portfolio compliance
• Utilize email templates and phone scripts to communicate with customers and insurance agents
• Accurately enter and update information within internal systems and tracking tools
• Maintain weekly activity tracking and productivity reporting
• Assist with seasonal mailing campaigns and insurance communication initiatives during August, September, and October
• Ensure all documentation is complete, compliant, and properly maintained within company systems
• Perform daily business-as-usual (BAU) tasks related to insurance tracking and loan documentation support

Required Skills & Experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience in banking, loan operations, loan documentation, insurance servicing, or a related financial services environment
• Experience reviewing loan documents and/or insurance documentation
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently interact with customers and insurance agents via phone and email
• Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls (approximately 50 calls per day)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Commercial and/or retail banking experience
• Insurance agency or insurance servicing experience
• Experience reviewing Certificates of Insurance, policy documentation, or collateral protection insurance documents
