Job Description

This specialty Insurance company is looking for an Automation QA Engineer to join a pod‑based team supporting a digital distribution platform for MGAs. The role will be heavily focused on Playwright automation, building and maintaining frameworks from the ground up, and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines. The engineer will also perform manual testing to ensure automation accuracy and coverage. This role works cross‑functionally with developers, product partners, and offshore QA teams and participates in stakeholder updates.
The ideal candidate brings senior‑level Playwright automation expertise, a strong manual testing foundation, exposure to AI‑assisted tooling, and excellent communication skills; insurance experience is a plus.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of QA Engineering experience
Strong Playwright automation experience
80% automation / 20% manual testing background
Solid manual testing experience (required to effectively automate)
Experience building automation frameworks from scratch
Ability to push code and execute scripts in CI/CD pipelines
API testing experience
AI experience (GitHub Copilot; exposure to Claude)
Sharp communication skills; comfortable providing stakeholder status updates
Experience working cross‑functionally with offshore teams
