Job Description

Job Overview
The Service Dispatcher for a life safety company is responsible for managing and coordinating service requests from high-priority clients, including hospitals, banks, and national accounts. This role ensures timely scheduling of technicians, efficient communication with customers, and smooth execution of service operations. The position is based onsite in Burr Ridge, Illinois (Chicagoland area), Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Dispatch & Coordination
o Manage incoming service requests via phone and email.
o Schedule technicians with visibility into their calendars for quick turnaround (24–48 hours).
o Maintain strong relationships with recurring customers for a personal touch.
• Job Management
o Track job progress and close out tickets upon completion.
o Request parts from the warehouse and reschedule jobs as needed.
o Handle billing for completed jobs promptly.
• Customer & Account Support
o Prioritize requests from hospitals, banking clients, and national accounts (e.g., Coca-Cola, Microsoft).
o Respond to varying call volumes (typically 20–25 calls per day; higher during storms).
• Training
o Participate in a 2-week onboarding period shadowing current coordinators and learning processes across multiple locations.
