Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Site Security Manager II (SSM II) for a client in the defense contracting industry. The Site Security Manager II (SSM II) is responsible for overseeing all physical security requirements throughout the planning, design, and construction lifecycle of secure facilities. This role ensures compliance with ICD 705 Technical Specifications, NISPOM, DoD overprint requirements, and applicable UFC standards to achieve and maintain facility accreditation. The SSM II will serve as the primary security authority interfacing with the Accrediting Official (AO), supported command, and project stakeholders to ensure all security controls are properly implemented, documented, and validated.

Compensation: $119,000 - $146,000 annual salary per year.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage core security documentation (CSP, FFC, TEMPEST, CVR) and full ICD 705 accreditation packages
• Delivery requires testing and validation reports (IDS, STC, RF) to support facility approval
• Ensure all documentation aligns with AO requirements and accreditation standards
• Conduct ongoing security inspections to ensure compliance with CSP and AO requirements
• Enforce adherence to ICD 705, NISPOM, DoD Overprint, and UFC standards
• Oversee site security, access control, and material handling in accordance with CSP
• Ensure secure execution of construction activities through CSP enforcement and oversight
• Conduct threat, vulnerability, and asset assessments for SCIF/SAPF environments
• Partner with the AO to implement countermeasures addressing security and counterintelligence risks
• Provide security input during planning, design reviews, and construction meetings
• Coordinate with project teams and government stakeholders to ensure compliance alignment
• Lead and mentor SSM/security staff, ensuring effective program execution
• Deliver briefings to government and senior leadership on risks and compliance

Required Skills & Experience

Required Clearance/Certifications/Education:
• Active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) with the ability to obtain Top Secret SCI + Polygraph
• Active or willing to obtain CDSE STEPP ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements for SAP course completion within the first 30 days of hire

Must-Haves:
• 4 years of experience in construction, physical security management, or physical security operations
- Associate’s degree counts towards 2 years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree counts towards 4 years of experience
• Extremely experienced in ICD 705 technical specifications to ensure construction meets UFC 4-010-05 and customer requirements.
• Highly experienced in construction security including SAP construction
• Highly knowledgeable in NISPOM and DoD security Standards and UCF 4-010-05 and related criteria
• Strong experience in SCIF/SAPF construction or Physical security in a DoD/IC environment
• Experience supporting construction projects with integrated security requirements
• Proven ability to coordinate across technical, construction, and government stakeholders
• Strong communication skills, including executive briefings and technical writing

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Active Top-Secret SCI + Polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management
• Experience in Project Management
• 1 year of experience for each SPeD certification
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)
- Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC)
- Special Program Security Credential (SPSC)
- Security Program Integration Professional Certification (SPIPC)
- Physical Security Certification (PSC)
- Industrial Security Oversight Credential (ISOC)
- Antiterrorism Credential (ATC)
