Remote Data Engineer - PL/SQL

A client of Insight Global is looking for a remote Data Engineer to join their team. This individual should have strong hands-on engineering experience with PL/SQL in a large, complex environment Additionally, this individual should experience leveraging AI to create coding agents to help them scale work performance. This client is migrating their data from Alteryx into Oracle and is looking for data engineers who can create an agent to automate some of these workflows while also having strong hands-on PL/SQL skills to validate and ensure accuracy, quality, and clean this data into modern conventions. The ideal candidate will have experience with large scale, complex data sets, be on the bleeding edge of AI, have quality of production in mind, and bring strong communication and an ownership mentality.

$50/hr to $70/hr. - Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

5+ years of hands-on data engineer experience with PL/SQL (writing production stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and bulk operations (FORALL, BULK COLLECT))
- Strong experience with Oracle performance tuning including execution plans, indexing strategies, partitioning, optimizer hints, etc.
- Experience working with large complex data sets (10,000 tables with hundreds of millions of rows) – good if they come from working with ERP and FIS systems.
- Experience writing and using AI coding agents to scale work performance with tools such as Claude Code, Codex, etc.
o Should have practical knowledge of LLM integration patterns and agent frameworks like LangChain, Mastra, Pi, or custom orchestration)

Plusses:
- Experience migrating from Alteryx
- Cloud experience with any public cloud platform and infrastructure-as-code
