Play a critical role in our Corporate Accounting Services group. Your responsibilities will include a variety of key accounting functions aimed at supporting the financial integrity and operational efficiency of Smurfit Westrock
Prepare and review Journal Entries and recons for payroll and benefits and other miscellaneous accruals,
Partner with our Risk Management team to record and reconcile various companywide insurance related transactions,
Review of JDE to ensure GL Coding is accurate,
Point of contact for various business partners regarding accounting related questions,
Comply with SOX controls and GAAP to ensure a solid internal control,
Lead special projects to drive continuous process improvement,
Provide updates to Management on a regular basis,
Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations within Blackline,
Perform special accounting projects as assigned,
Assist in audit processes through the preparation of schedules and communications with internal and external auditors.
