Job Description

A premier logistics technology and services company is looking for a VP of Sales to join their team. This person will be responsible to build and lead the commercial function from the ground up. This role requires a true player-coach who can generate pipeline independently while architecting a scalable sales organization across consulting, implementation, and technology delivery practices.
This is not a legacy leadership role—this individual will define the go-to-market motion, establish sales infrastructure, and directly drive revenue in the early stages. Candidate must have strong written and verbal communication, be a team player, and open to travel.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to HR@insightglobal.com.To learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years in B2B enterprise services sales with a strong personal hunting track record
Proven ability to self-generate pipeline and close enterprise deals
Supply chain / logistics domain expertise (3PLs, retailers, enterprise operations)
Demonstrated success as a player-coach—comfortable selling without team support
Experience building a sales function from 0-to-1 (process, structure, and strategy)
Established network at the VP/SVP/C-suite level within logistics and supply chain organizations

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience selling across multiple service lines (consulting, implementation, technology/engineering)
Background in a sub-$50M services organization or similar growth-stage environment
Track record of hiring, coaching, and developing sales leaders
Familiarity with key industry events (MODEX, CSCMP) and how to leverage them for pipeline
Familiarity with WMS, OMS, or TMS platforms
Experience selling into both U.S. and Canadian markets
Prior experience with equity participation in a growth-stage company

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
