Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Electrical Electronics Engineer. Electrical/Electronics Engineer to support both existing and new product development. This role will focus on the design and support of battery-powered, microprocessor-based portable test and measurement equipment used in industrial environments. The engineer will work cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to design, develop, validate, and support products from concept through production.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred)
3+ years of hands-on electrical design experience
Experience designing analog and digital circuitry
PCB layout experience using Altium Designer
Ability to create and execute design validation test plans
Experience developing firmware and test sequences to support the development lifecycle
Proficiency using general lab equipment to support testing and development
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
Ability to support products through the manufacturing process, including documentation

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Embedded experience using ARM-based processors
Experience developing embedded Linux systems on x86 and ARM platforms
DSP and filter design experience
Experience verifying safety and regulatory requirements (e.g., EN-61000)
Programming experience in C/C++
