Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to manage the full fixed asset lifecycle for multiple manufacturing facilities in the Sarasota, FL area. This role is responsible for maintaining fixed asset records, monitoring construction-in-progress (CIP) activity, preparing financial reports, reconciling subledger and general ledger accounts, and supporting month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have strong fixed asset accounting experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Fixed Asset Management
Review construction-in-progress (CIP) invoices and ensure proper accounting treatment.
Set up and maintain capital projects within the fixed asset system.
Review mass additions and ensure accurate capitalization of assets.
Monitor CIP activity and place completed assets into service on a timely basis.
Review fixed asset-related billings and resolve invoicing discrepancies.
Process monthly depreciation and prepare related journal entries.
Maintain asset tagging processes and track untagged assets as needed.
Reporting & Analysis
Generate and analyze monthly CIP detail and summary reports.
Prepare fixed asset activity and project activity reports.
Produce and distribute monthly capital project reporting.
Prepare maintenance and operational spending reports for leadership review.
Support management with ad hoc reporting and analysis.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate fixed asset records and supporting documentation.
Prepare monthly fixed asset roll-forward schedules.
Organize project files to support audits and financial reviews.
Assist with property tax documentation and compliance reporting.
Maintain and update fixed asset accounting policies and procedures.
Month-End Close
Review completed projects and capitalize assets as appropriate.
Evaluate assets for transfers, retirements, or disposals.
Prepare adjusting and correcting journal entries.
Run depreciation and post entries to the general ledger.
Reconcile fixed asset, accumulated depreciation, and CIP accounts to the general ledger.

1+ years of experience in Fixed Asset Accounting
ERP experience
Proficiency in Excel
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
SAP and Oracle experience
