Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an HVAC Technician to support residential and commercial building environments. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of residential HVAC systems. The ideal candidate has hands‑on residential experience, works independently, and delivers reliable, high‑quality service in occupied environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems
-Perform routine preventative maintenance and system inspections
-Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and complete repairs efficiently
-Respond to service calls and work orders in a timely manner
-Ensure systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with codes
-Document service work, repairs, and maintenance activities
-Communicate clearly with homeowners, property managers, or onsite contacts
-Follow all safety regulations and company procedures
-Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles


Required Skills & Experience

-3–5 years of hands‑on residential HVAC experience
-Strong knowledge of heating and cooling systems (furnaces, AC units, heat pumps)
-Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues
-Experience performing maintenance, repairs, and system replacements
-Ability to read schematics and technical documentation
-Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
-EPA Section 608 certification

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience supporting multi‑family residential buildings
-Familiarity with local residential building codes
-Experience with smart thermostats or energy‑efficient systems
