Job Description
Seeking a SENIOR SQL Database Developer who will be responsible for the design, development, optimization, and support of enterprise database solutions that enable critical business applications and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise Microsoft SQL Server databases and database objects.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
• Lead database design initiatives, including data modeling, normalization, indexing strategies, and schema optimization.
• Analyze and resolve database performance issues through query optimization, execution plan analysis, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Design and develop ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or equivalent data integration tools.
• Support business intelligence initiatives through SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, or other reporting platforms.
• Collaborate with application development teams to design efficient, scalable, and secure database solutions.
• Review database code for quality, efficiency, and adherence to development standards.
• Lead database deployments, upgrades, and migration projects across development, test, and production environments.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, database standards, and operational procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production database issues while ensuring minimal business disruption.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security policies, regulatory requirements, and data governance standards.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of experience designing and developing Microsoft SQL Server database solutions.
• Advanced expertise in T-SQL programming and SQL Server development.
• Extensive experience with database design, relational modeling, normalization, and indexing.
• Proven experience with SQL performance tuning and optimization.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
• Experience developing ETL solutions using SSIS or similar tools.
• Experience with source control like Team Foundation Server.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, or other DevOps platforms.
• Microsoft SQL Server or Azure Database certifications preferred.
