Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a mission-critical communications environment for a federal customer onsite in Orlando, FL. This individual will join a technical operations team responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and supporting our federal client's communications platform, which enables secure interoperability and communications across federal agencies and public safety organizations.
This role is ideal for candidates with strong systems administration, networking, infrastructure, or technical operations experience who enjoy working in highly available, 24/7 operational environments. The selected candidate will support day-to-day platform administration, user management, system maintenance, troubleshooting, software updates, and operational support activities.

Responsibilities:
• Perform daily administration and operational support of the Motorola WAVE platform.
• Configure and maintain user accounts, permissions, licenses, and system settings.
• Monitor system health, availability, and performance to ensure operational continuity.
• Execute routine maintenance, software updates, patches, and system upgrades.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate resolution efforts across internal engineering and support teams.
• Support communications interoperability between internal and external organizations.
• Manage system configurations, operational channels, certificates, and related infrastructure components.
• Assist with backup verification, disaster recovery processes, and system resiliency initiatives.
• Document incidents, maintenance activities, system changes, and operational procedures.
• Participate in shift-based support operations within a 24/7/365 mission-critical environment.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, technical operations personnel, and customer stakeholders to resolve issues and improve system performance.
• Support inventory tracking, system audits, and operational reporting requirements.
Identify recurring technical issues and recommend process or system improvements.

Compensation:
$29hr to $33hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support, Technical Operations, NOC, or related IT experience.
• Experience supporting Windows Server environments, enterprise applications, or infrastructure platforms.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• Experience troubleshooting systems, applications, and infrastructure within operational production environments.
• Experience performing software installations, upgrades, patching, and system maintenance activities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Military communications, intelligence, signal operations, or networking experience.
• Ability to support shift-based schedules within a 24/7 operating environment.
Ability to pass a Federal Background and Financial Investigation.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC), Security Operations Center (SOC), or other technical operations environment.
• Experience supporting mission-critical communications systems.
• Familiarity with radio communications, public safety technologies, telecommunications, or unified communications platforms.
• Experience supporting federal government customers.
• Knowledge of SQL databases and database administration concepts.
• Experience with system monitoring and performance management tools.
• Prior experience with Motorola WAVE, Motorola Solutions products, Land Mobile Radio (LMR), P25, or public safety communications technologies.
