Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to support accurate and timely payroll operations. This individual will be responsible for preparing and processing complex payrolls and assisting with the bi-weekly payroll cycle while ensuring compliance with all applicable payroll regulations and internal policies.
This role will manage the accuracy and timeliness of payroll garnishments, maintain strong working relationships with legal counsel regarding garnishment procedures, and ensure payroll tax deposits are completed on a bi-weekly and monthly basis. The Payroll Specialist will also prepare and input monthly payroll entries related to year-end processing and assist with quarter-end and year-end activities, including the preparation and distribution of W-2s.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of payroll experience
• Experience processing complex, bi-weekly payrolls
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax deposits and garnishments
• Experience with quarter-end and year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation
• Advanced knowledge of payroll and timekeeping systems
• Ability to answer employee payroll and deduction questions confidently
• Experience training or overseeing payroll staff

• Healthcare industry payroll experience
• Experience partnering with legal counsel on garnishments
• Experience supporting payroll system or timekeeping upgrades
