Job Description
A customer of Insight Global is building a backend application that integrates with multiple services to make our mobile app more efficient and provide flexibility for future enhancements. This role is focused on backend development with opportunities to learn and grow in a modern, cloud-native environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain backend services that connect to various systems, improving mobile app performance and scalability.
Work on a web service hosted entirely in AWS, leveraging serverless architecture for efficiency and reliability.
Implement and optimize Node.js services on AWS Lambda (must-have experience).
Build APIs and middleware using Express to enable seamless communication between applications.
Collaborate with mobile teams; React Native experience is a plus.
Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Pay rate range: 60-64/hour

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of relevant experience as a Software Engineer, leaning as a backend developer
Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express, and AWS Lambda.
Hands-on expertise with **AWS services**, including Lambda and serverless architectures.
Understanding of backend architecture and API development.
Proficiency in Express, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Exposure to React Native or mobile development.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
