Job Description
Our client is seeking a Network Engineer to join their team supporting ongoing network modernization and infrastructure initiatives. This individual will play a key role in a fast-paced, evolving environment, helping to support enterprise networking projects, improve security posture, and contribute to both centralized and field-based efforts.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is hands-on, adaptable, and eager to learn, with strong foundational networking experience and exposure to Cisco technologies.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
-Support enterprise network modernization and infrastructure projects
-Assist with network segmentation and security initiatives (Cisco ISE / DNAC environments)
-Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues across routers, switches, and controllers
-Support vulnerability management and network optimization efforts
-Collaborate with internal teams to implement and improve network performance and reliability
-Participate in field-based work, including visiting remote sites for hardware upgrades (routers, UPS devices, etc.)
-Assist with equipment deployments, replacements, and configuration updates
-Document processes, configurations, and improvements as needed
-Perform patching and upgrading of Cisco network equipment (routers and switches)
-Conduct vulnerability assessments, and support the design and implementation of secure, resilient network infrastructure. This includes advanced responsibilities across Cisco ACI, network segmentation strategies, and Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.

Required Skills & Experience
-Strong hands-on experience with networking fundamentals:
-Routers, switches, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols
-Experience working in Cisco environments
-Exposure to or experience with:
-Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine)
-Cisco DNAC / Catalyst Center
-Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
-Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
-Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt in a dynamic environment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience with Cisco ACI
-Background supporting network security or segmentation initiatives
-Familiarity with enterprise-scale infrastructure environments
-Exposure to cloud networking or firewall technologies
-Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP)
