Job Description
This position will lead this companies mechanical and plumbing engineering design development practices in all regions of work performed by this construction company in adherence to the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Army surveying , planning and RFP design standards. These individuals will be working on new building construction, updates and renovations. Not maintenance, just design. Most work will be done on offices, housing and training areas.Responsible for job cost tracking, and performance thorughout the duration of a project
Coordinating with project team to facilitate flow of design information and schedule
Work with project team on submittals, cost management, quality control, approval process
Leading consultations with stakeholders regarding project proposals, schedules, strategies, submittal procedures, building system design, safety to ensure quality conceptual design and construction methods to meet requirements of RFP, proposals and corporate objectives.
Develop strategic approaches to a project, determine construction requirements to plan procedures , ensure safety features , educate the team and ensure team training with project requirements
Reviewing, adjusting, and applying UFGS , UFC, IMC, International plumbing code, ASHRE 90.1, and LEED standards for application in Mechanical HVAC and plumbing engineering designs
Ranging salary 135,000-155,000

Required Skills & Experience
Mechanical related bach degree
7+ years of experience in addition to that within the field (mechanical design focused-not field)
Experience working with lower engineers, helping/ leading/ training/ overseeing
2D and 3D experience within Autocad/Revit (prefers revit)
Experience with design , drafting, looking over specifications
Focus on HVAC or Plumbing focus (HVAC FOCUS PREFERED)
knowledge of applying design techniques, tools and theories in the production and submittal of plans, drawings, construction details etc..
Knowledge of sustainable design, green energy , environmental friendly sort of work (LEED or BEAP)
Knowledge with AHREA 90.1, 62.1 and 55 (code book design-this is not a certification, just knowledge)
