A client of Insight Globals is looking for a Hardware Design Engineer to join their team supporting a program operating out of Eglin AFB in FL. This individual should either have an active Secret Clearance or be willing and able to obtain one. The Hardware Design Engineer will play a crucial role in designing and developing hardware solutions for diverse projects, ensuring functionality and efficiency. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, they will integrate hardware designs into comprehensive systems and conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to uphold quality standards. Documenting hardware design specifications and test procedures will be a key part of their responsibilities. The successful candidate must hold a bachelors degree in engineering or a related IT field, possess an Active Secret Clearance, and demonstrate proficiency in VHDL and TCL for embedded firmware design. They should also have hands-on experience in FPGA system design and testing, working adeptly with Xilinx FPGA families and design tools like 7-series FPGAs, Ultrascale+, Vivado, and Xilinx IP cores. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with various FPGA families and optimization techniques, strong problem-solving abilities, vendor communication skills, and effective collaboration with stakeholders to select suitable hardware components for projects.
