Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to support tax planning, compliance, and advisory services for a diverse portfolio of business entities and individuals. This role will provide guidance on the tax implications of investments, transactions, and business activities while developing tax-efficient strategies and structures. The Senior Tax Accountant will review tax returns, estimates, and projections; research complex tax matters; and ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations for corporations, partnerships, LLCs, S-corporations, and individual taxpayers. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of public tax accounting experience, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, and either a CPA license or plans to obtain one. Strong technical tax knowledge, project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines are essential. Experience with tax software such as Thomson Reuters UltraTax, Practice CS, RIA Checkpoint, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skills is highly preferred, along with the ability to mentor junior staff and contribute to team development.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor degree in accounting required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or working towards obtainment of licensure
- 2-5 years tax experience tax experience including tax planning, compliance, and preparation
- Thorough knowledge of the tax impact to individuals and their business and investments
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines is a must
- Strong organizational, time management and follow through skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Integrity, dependability, and trustworthiness
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Masters of Tax degree preferred
- Big 4 firm experience preferred
- Computer proficiency with software programs such as RIA Checkpoint, Thomson Reuters full suite of tax software: UltraTax, Workpapers, Practice CS and File Cabinet, Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
