Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Credentialing Coordinator to provide temporary maternity leave coverage. This role is responsible for managing provider credentialing activities to ensure practitioners are fully credentialed and ready to start by their designated start dates. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This position requires close collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of credentialing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of approximately 20 credentialing files at various stages of the credentialing lifecycle
- Prioritize work based on upcoming provider start dates and urgency of requests
- Work closely with the Credentialing Manager to ensure alignment on priorities, direction, and day-to-day expectations
- Process credentialing files to ensure providers are credentialed and cleared by their required start dates
- Handle urgent or time-sensitive requests, demonstrating strong time management, flexibility, and ability to pivot as priorities change
- Support full credentialing workflows, including:
○ Prefilling and processing credentialing applications
○ Running primary source verifications
○ Sending and tracking professional references
- Maintain accurate documentation and status tracking throughout the credentialing process
- Communicate effectively with other internal team members who are in direct contact with providers or facilities
- Coordinate with team members to ensure seamless information flow and timely issue resolution
